Taxi, Private Transfer or Bus: From Antalya Airport to Your Resort

For the resorts, a pre-booked private transfer is usually the simplest choice: a fixed price per car, a driver waiting with your name and a direct ride to the hotel. Taxis from the rank need no booking but run on the meter. Public buses cost least but reach the resorts only with changes; the Havaş airport bus goes to the city, not to Belek, Side, Kemer or Alanya.
Antalya Airport serves a coast more than 200 km long, so the best way to your hotel depends on where you stay as much as on your budget. Here is how the four options compare.
Taxi from the rank
Taxis wait outside the arrivals halls of both terminals. They run on the meter in Turkish lira, so the total depends on the distance, the traffic and the route, and you know it only at the end. Check that the meter is on, ask the driver to confirm the route and ask for a receipt. For a short ride to Lara or the city, a taxi is a fine choice when you have no booking.
Private transfer
A private transfer is booked before you fly. The price is per vehicle and fixed when you book, the driver tracks your flight and waits at the exit with a sign showing your name, and the car takes you straight to your hotel. It suits families, groups, late flights and the longer rides to Side, Kemer or Alanya.
Shared shuttle
Shuttles sold with package holidays or by transfer websites are priced per seat. They are good value for one or two travellers, but they stop at several hotels on the way and leave on their own schedule, so the trip can take much longer than the drive itself.
Public bus, tram and Havaş
The T1A tram and city buses 600 and 800 serve the city, and the Havaş airport bus runs to the western edge of Antalya. None of them goes to the resorts: for Belek, Side, Kemer or Alanya you change to an intercity bus or minibus, often at the main bus station (otogar), which bus 600 reaches from the airport. See Antalya Airport to the city centre for the city lines.
| Resort | From the airport | Private car from | By public transport |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lara / Kundu | 13 km, about 20 min | €25 | City bus 800 runs to Lara |
| Belek | 31 km, about 30 min | €40 | No direct bus; change in Antalya |
| Kemer | 57 km, about 50 min | €60 | Into the city, then a bus or minibus to Kemer |
| Side | 65 km, about 55 min | €60 | Bus 600 to the otogar, then an intercity bus |
| Alanya | 125 km, about 1 h 40 min | €80 | Bus 600 to the otogar, then an intercity bus |
Which one should you choose?
- One or two people, light luggage, Lara or the city: a taxi, the tram or a bus.
- Families and groups: one van at one price per vehicle is often cheaper than several shuttle seats or two taxis.
- Late-night landings: a booked car waits for free if your flight is late, while public transport thins out at night.
- Side, Kemer or Alanya: a fixed price avoids surprises on a long ride.
Whatever you choose, keep your hotel's exact name and address on your phone. Many resort names are similar, and the exact name saves time at the gate.
Frequently asked questions
Is a taxi or a transfer cheaper from Antalya Airport?
A taxi on the meter can suit one or two people on a short ride. For families, groups and longer rides, a fixed price per vehicle is usually better value, and you know it in advance. Our prices start at €25 to Lara and €40 to Belek per car.
Does the Havaş bus go to Belek, Side or Alanya?
No. The Havaş airport bus runs from Antalya Airport to the western edge of the city. For the resorts you change to an intercity bus or book a transfer.
Do I need to book a transfer in advance?
Yes. A private transfer is booked before you fly, so the driver can track your flight and meet you at the exit. In summer, book at least a day ahead.
