Antalya or Gazipaşa: Which Airport Is Better for Alanya?

Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport (GZP) is only about 40 km from Alanya, a 35-minute drive, while Antalya Airport (AYT) is about 125 km away, roughly 1 hour 40 minutes. Gazipaşa is the better choice for Alanya and Mahmutlar if a flight suits you; Antalya has far more international flights and is closer for Side, Belek, Lara and Kemer.
Two airports, one coast
Antalya Airport is one of Türkiye's busiest airports, with flights from across Europe all year. Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport is a small airport on the coast east of Alanya. It opened to passengers in 2010, has a single 2,000 m runway and a terminal built for about 500,000 passengers a year, so it has far fewer flights, many of them seasonal.
Distance and drive time

How to choose
- Price of the flight first. Flights to Antalya are often cheaper and more frequent; the longer drive can still work out cheaper overall.
- Arrival time. Gazipaşa has fewer flights, and when several land together the taxi rank empties fast. A booked car is waiting either way.
- Where you stay. For Mahmutlar, Kestel and Kargıcak, Gazipaşa saves well over an hour on the road.
Flying into one airport and out of the other? We drive between AYT and GZP too: about 175 km along the coast, from €120 per car. See Antalya Airport to Gazipaşa.
